PROJECT OVERVIEW
Intuit needed us to upgrade their Quickbase site to the most recent version of Acquia Drupal, apply a new theme, and build a new section of the site.PROJECT SNAPSHOT
Intuit approached CommonPlaces with a project already in progress, which is becoming an increasingly common occurrence. We're finding more often than not, that our experience results in a better client experience, faster implementation, less post-beta revisions, and a superior end-product.
Intuit's specific needs centered on upgrading Quickbase site's core and modules to the most recent version of Acquia Drupal, applying a new theme to the Quickbase site, and building a new section of the site entitled "Quickbase Innovation Network".
The project's biggest challenge was concerning the site's header and its associated navigation. The challenge at hand was that the header needed to match the rest of the Inuit site (which is not all built on the Drupal platform) and needed to be easily modified outside of the Quickbase theme. Our solution was to use Drupal's Cron to look at a specific URL for the header and associated navigation on a predetermined upload schedule, as well as build an interface for the site's administrators to force an immediate upload, if necessary.
CommonPlaces' ability to complete this project quickly led to a happy client with whom we are collaborating on future projects.
