uKabbalah is an online learning site built to support the international educational efforts of the Kabbalah Centre. The Kabbalah Centre approached CommonPlaces to finish this project after the project had stalled for almost a year with their previous developer. With our formal CP Rescue program, we were able to get their site launched in a matter of weeks, and we continue to complete smaller delivery sets of new features and functionality on a regular basis. The initial CP Rescue program has evolved into an ongoing partnership for Kabbalah Centres and CommonPlaces.

Sophisticated Member Management and Subscription e-Commerce

CommonPlaces worked with the Kabbalah team to build a sophisticated member management back-end that delivers content to members based on their subscription level, knowledge level, and teacher-assigned experience levels. This back-end supports Single Sign On across uKabbalah.com, Kabbalah.com, and multi-language sites, making it possible for Kabbalah to deliver personalized content across their Web properties. uKabbalah has an integrated commerce system powered by a custom implementation of Ubercart and Drupal. CommonPlaces also built custom reporting dashboards, including e-commerce roll-up reports, marketing intelligence, trends, and drill-down information on members.

Video Lessons and Course Materials

At the heart of the uKabbalah site is a rich multimedia experience. CommonPlaces integrated Kabbalah's Edgecast CDN content seamlessly into a Drupal CMS so that site administrators can quickly add new content and target that content to the appropriate audience. Video, audio, and downloadable content is available to members based on specific profile criteria. Course content is organized on a single page, making it easy for members to view the video and access related materials. uKabbalah is an excellent, easy to use platform for educating members on Kabbalistic concepts.
