Rasmussen Reports

Rasmussen Reports provides independent polling and national political news. For this site, CommonPlaces designed the underlying architecture in conjunction with another firm that supplied the website design. We created a custom calendar for site visitors to keep track of upcoming events. We also designed a unique workflow system that Rasmussen uses for publishing content on their site. When one contributor submits an article, it must be approved by the appropriate user(s) before it appears on the site. This system involves a detailed hierarchy of roles that assigns different permissions to different employees. All of this occurs behind the scenes, of course, while Rasmussen enjoys a robust, easy-to-use publishing system on their site.
