Ben Bassi, the founder and CEO of CommonPlaces, is an Internet pioneer who combines experience as a marketer and digital executive with a vast entrepreneurial skill set. Among his many accomplishments, Bassi served as Chief Operating Officer of the Firefly Network, the web's first social network, and led the company’s efforts in developing e-business and privacy solutions for companies like Barnes & Noble, MasterCard, Marriott, Proctor & Gamble, and Yahoo! The social networking patents they sold were used to launch LinkedIn. New Hampshire Governor Maggie Hassan appointed Bassi in 2014 to the New Hampshire State Workforce Investment Board, shortly after the U.S. Labor Department recognized CommonPlaces for its efforts in enhancing workforce initiatives in New Hampshire.
